What is an IPL?
IPL stands for "Intense Pulsed Light". It is is a non-invasive procedure that uses high-energy light pulses to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines, and facial blemishes. Is the treatment suitable for all skin types?
IPL safely treats skin types 1-4 on the Fitzpatrick scale. Starting with a consultation with one of our master medical aestheticians is recommended to determine the most suitable approach to help reach your skin goals.
How should you prepare for your treatment?
Before your treatment discontinue topical retinoids/retinols 5 days prior to treatment.
Discontinue active ingredients (exfoliants and serums) 2-3 days prior to treatment.
Avoid any prolonged exposure to the sun, tanning beds or self-tanners for 5-7 days prior to treatment.
Please inform us of any medications you are taking prior to the appointment.Avoid taking light-sensitive medications (antibiotics, etc) for 2 weeks prior to the appointment.
Avoid any injectables such as Botox or filler for 2 weeks before and after treatment.
